O Taste and See

The world isnot with us enough
O taste and see
the subway Bible poster said,
meaning The Lord, meaning
if anything all that lives
to the imagination’s tongue,
grief, mercy, language,
tangerine, weather, to
breathe them, bite,
savor, chew, swallow, transform
into our flesh our
deaths, crossing the street, plum, quince,
living in the orchard and being
hungry, and plucking
the fruit.

O mundo não está
conosco o bastante
Ah Provem e Vejam
dizia o pôster bíblico no metrô,
implicando o Senhor, implicando
cada coisa no tudo que vive
para a o sabor da imaginação,
mágoa, mercê, tangerina, temperatura,
respirá-las, morder,
saber, mascar, engolir, transformar
em nossa carne nossas
mortes, atravessar a rua, ameixa, marmelo
vivendo no pomar e tendo
fome, e colhendo
a fruta.
